When Judy was six years of age her elementary art teacher told her that she would be an art teacher one day – and so her journey began…

Judy has taught kindergarten through high school art in the public schools for seventeen years.  She has also taught Early Childhood Development in Art at the college level.

In addition to her teaching, Judy has created art curriculums for four school districts in the state of Illinois.  She has also served on the North Central Evaluation Team which evaluates the needs and performance of public schools to judge whether state accreditation requirements are met.  Additionally, she has consulted for two school districts to ensure proper layout and design of new art facilities.

Judy has also donated several of her pieces to charity auctions.  She is pleased that her passion can be used to raise funds to preserve both Art Centers and Women’s Health Centers.  Judy has lent her keen eye as judge for several juried art shows.  Her desire for cultural knowledge has also inspired her to serve as a docent in the local art center.  She has also served as Co-Chairperson of the State of Illinois Art Education Association Student Traveling Exhibit.

After 37 years of creating artists, Judy decided to focus full time on creating art.  Judy’s work has appeared in juried shows, galleries, private homes, and commercial establishments from Chicago, Illinois to Santa Cruz, California.

Most recently, a Certified Master Jeweler, Christopher Anderson, encouraged Judy to translate her artistic creations into a jewelry line.  Shortly after this line was introduced, she was chosen as the featured guest designer for the Charisma Style Show in Illinois.  She followed the footsteps of the prior year’s featured guest designer, Emmy Award Winner David Kahn.

Judy is currently busy working on new pieces for her jewelry line and on unique custom pieces for her esteemed clientele.  Most importantly, she is doing what she loves – her ever-evolving work using the principles and elements of design.
